Alexis Sanchez 'says goodbye' to teammates in dramatic late development

Sanchez says goodbye
Having been caught between two suitors in Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho, last week it became clear his heart lay with the Portuguese manager.
And, The Mirror now reports, we may have finally have had our 'last dash back from the airport' moment.
He had been named as Arsenal's 19th man in their squad to face Crystal Palace at 3pm today, however that is said to have pushed United to finish the Chilean winger's move.

Jose Mourinho

The newspaper claims that a 'dramatic late development' saw Alexis 'receive a call', which prompted him to say goodbye to his team mates 'just before 11pm' and then leave the team's hotel.

It comes after Mourinho pretty much confirmed that it was a done deal yesterday.
"There is no point in trying to hide or deny, but it is not done at all," he said on Friday afternoon.
"I think clearly everybody knows that we are there and especially when Arsenal manager speaks so clearly like he did."
Henrikh Mkhitaryan will likely be be going in the opposite direction to Sanchez,  but that will probably be done as a separate deal - rather than a straight swap - due to complications with the pair's contract.
Drama, or what?
